The royal procession scene from Faraon (1966)
by the Polish director Jerzy Kawalerowicz (1922-2007).





The film is based on the Polish novel "Faraon" by Bolesław Prus .
Although the story is not historically real it nevertheless, echoes some of the political currents of the late New Kingdom.

The scene shown here is of the procession of the pharaoh and the costumes and designs were inspired by ancient New Kingdom art.

The music was composed by Adam Walaciński.
