The Unfinished Step Pyramid of Sekhemkhet in Saqqara

The Unfinished Pyramid" of Sekhemkhet at Saqqara was discovered by Egyptologist Zakaria Goneim. He found many treasures, and excavated a sealed sarcophagus; adorned in funerary wreaths. Goneim opened the sarcophagus in front of state officials and the world's media to reveal that it was empty.

Although Goneim went on to lecture around the United States and published a successful book about his discovery - "The Buried Pyramid" a conspiracy was devised by his countrymen to bring about his downfall and which ended in his suicide.
