The Hieroglyphic Typewriter incorporates the alphabet and number symbols together with a selection of determinative signs. It is designed as a fun entertainment app, so for ease of use the QWERTY keyboard includes close phonetic alternative glyphs for E, U V and X (which the Egyptians did not use). This allows you to quickly write names and short secret messages encoded in hieroglyphs and you can send the results by email. The recipient will receive a crib sheet to help translate your message and they can also print it.
The keys include Latin alphabet symbols together with their hieroglyph equivalents and descriptions, which allows you to type messages naturally and at a glance see the translations.
The shift key changes the keyboard giving access to number glyphs, a selection of words and some determinative signs which you can use to elaborate your messages.
The help section gives a basic understanding of Hieroglyphic writing and examples of how to write names.

Each puzzle consists of a grid of blocks, walls and blank spaces. The goal is to remove all the blocks to progress to the next level.

Andy Sheppard is one of the UKís most compelling and charismatic saxophonists. He has illuminated the bands of jazz greats such as George Russell, Gil Evans and Carla Bley.
For a number of years while on tour, around the world, he has made recordings of bird song and then woven the birdís music into seven compositions. These works are unique personal musical sketches and not available on record or CD.
This free version of the App has full versions of the seven tracks. Each accompanied by Andy’s written comments and beautifully illustrated with bird paintings.
