I’ve recently been building a gallery website of my art work going back over forty years. Unfortunately, many of my paintings were sold unrecorded – there were no digital cameras in the 70’s 80’s and early 90’s. However, I found around 60 photos of my paintings, etchings and drawings. I even found a few rare limited edition etchings in an old plan chest that I had forgotten about.
These images, when looked at together, tell the story of how ancient Egyptian art influenced my work during the 1980’s and early 90’s when my work was being exhibited around the world. And how my in-depth research, in Egypt, led to the temple reconstructions of the past 15 years.
The work on this website is just the tip of the ice berg – if you own a painting that I’ve forgotten about please send me a photo and I’ll include it in the gallery.
